Flood Hazard Insurance Information and
Real Estate License Renewal
CE license renewals– Effective January 1, 2016
For real estate license renewals after January 1, 2016, salespersons are required to take a one hour Legal Update class that contains the mandatory flood insurance information in order for their real estate license to renew.
This new one hour Legal Update class that includes flood insurance information is required even if you have already taken the one hour Legal Update class that is currently being offered (without flood insurance information).
PL requirements –
The flood insurance information is being incorporated into the current Real Estate Law and Board Regulations class. No additional class is required for you to meet the first year’s 30 hours PL credit requirement. If you have already taken the Real Estate Law and Board Regulations class, you do not have to take it again in order to meet this requirement.
